Cabinet Painting Process
Step 1
Make sure anything in the cupboards are pushed back about 2 inches from the front so that we can paint the inside lip. We will plastic all areas that are not being painted and paper the floors that are in the area of the cabinets.
Step 2
Remove all doors , Drawers and hardware.
Step 3
Clean and degrease all doors, drawes and casings
Step 4
Sand all doors, Drawes and casings
Step 5
Apply bonding primer to all doors, Drawers and casings.
Step 6
After priming , the primer leaves the surface rough , we will use 180 grit sanding sponge to smooth out all areas that were primed.
Step 7
We will spray 2 coats of the finish paint (Emerald Acrylic- Urethane) on all doors, Drawers and casings
Step 8
After 24 hours of drying , we will put all the hardware back on and re hang the doors and drawers!
Step 9
You will have beautiful cabinets and love your Kitchen again!!!
